Shakti Annual Recital

One of the many highlights in the year of a Shakti student is performing in a formal concert. The Shakti  Annual Recital offers students the opportunity to work together as a class, learn new choreography with music, practice memorization techniques, follow directions, build confidence and share the important work they have developed that year. The Annual Shakti Recital is a very exciting time for students to wear their costumes, to be on stage and  perform for parents, relatives and friends.

“Thank you SO much for arranging such a great online show this past weekend. Our family very much enjoyed connecting to dance. Our daughter has really used dance to express herself during this very strange time! “
“Shakti  students all did remarkably well. They responded to your call. They had practiced.”
“…the annual showing on Zoom was excellent. I was wondering how it might come across. But everyone pulled it off. We watched the entire show!”
“Great performance! Thank you for all you do.”
“Congrats Viji aunty! That was a very well well run showing and impressive given that we normally practise an in-person performing art form. Way to go!”

The 2020 Annual Shakti performance moved seamlessly to a dynamic and vibrant 3 hour ZOOM presentation with over 200 students and family in attendance. With our online classes and practise videos Shakti students demonstrated a beautiful powerful way to keep our minds and body healthy, active and creative during these challenging times. Here are moments from this important milestone.

Shakti Annual 2020
Adding to our celebrations! Because of Covid many students did not have their celebratory graduations proms or arangetrams. We congratulate them as they embark on their academic journey.
